Why network?
Networking is the best way for micro and small businesses to find new customers - fact. And the stats don't lie: Small businesses in London find over 70% of their new business through networking or direct referral (LDA). And women are much more effective networkers than their male colleagues, mainly because networking is actually about listening, rather than talking.
But networking does have negative connotations; smarmy people with
bright
teeth, trying to suck the life out of your wallet. We prefer to think
of Women's Junction as a networking, marketing and business referral
organisation. Networking is the chance to make that first face-to-face
introduction. Regular attendance means the chance to win new work
through direct business referral and third-party recommendation.
Meet someone,
strike up a conversation and let things develop over time. This is why
we organise a variety of regular and frequent events where different
businesses can meet and start those relationships which lead to
business.
If you would like to meet other business women from your local business community, sharing the same concerns and ambitions as you, please book a place at one of our events, which are open to new non-members, and you will be sure of meeting some interesting, friendly people.
